Maslah Ahmed came to the United States of America when he was only 12 years old. When he first arrived he didn’t speak any English and he didn’t know how to positively interact with peers his age. One thing Maslah Ahmed didn’t lack was dedication; he devoted his entire time trying to learn the English language. He has shown a lot of improvement over the years and is on track in obtaining his high school diploma. Maslah Ahmed is now 17 and he has very big dreams. He now speaks English fluently and is very optimistic about his future.
Furthermore, Maslah Ahmed also participated in this years summer youth jobs. He worked as an Administrative Assistant for Wise Home Health Care, Inc and he brought with him his sense of responsibility everyday to work. He is always eager and hungry for information and giving up isn’t an option for him. He also took action in structuring his plans for college by doing research about potential scholarships and financial aide availability. His grades have also improved significantly over the years. Now Maslah Ahmed is ready to join the ever growing work force. He has learned the skills necessary to maintain a steady job and he has gained the endurance needed to complete a college education.
